About Jennifer M.
Jennifer M. Wolfe followed a path that mixes accounting and energy law. She earned a B.S. in Public Accounting from Marietta College in 2010. She then attended West Virginia University College of Law and received her J.D. in 2013, studying energy law while in law school.
Her early legal work began before graduation. In 2010 she worked as an administrative assistant for West Virginia Continuing Legal Education. She later served as a legal intern at Little, Sheets & Barr in 2012. Those roles gave her practical exposure to court practice and to the continuing education side of the legal profession.
After law school she joined Story Law Office as an associate lawyer in 2013. The position placed her in day-to-day client work and case management. In 2015 she took a role outside traditional firm practice, working in marketing and sales for JD Injection Specialists, LLC. That experience broadened her understanding of the commercial and operational aspects of industries that intersect with energy law.
Wolfe’s professional affiliations reflect steady ties to the oil and gas sector and to the legal community. She has been a member of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation since 2010 and of the American Bar Association since 2013. Beginning in 2015 she joined the Independent Oil & Gas Association of West Virginia, the Ohio Oil & Gas Association, and the Southeastern Ohio Oil & Gas Association. These memberships indicate ongoing engagement with regulatory, operational and policy developments affecting energy producers and landowners in the region.
Her background in public accounting and her law degree in energy law shape the matters she handles. She has experience that spans client counseling, transactional work and matters that arise from oil and gas operations. Her time in-house at a service company added perspective on how service providers and operators communicate and market technical services to landowners and drilling companies.
Wolfe practices in West Virginia and has maintained professional connections across the Ohio Valley oil and gas community. She combines legal training and industry experience to advise clients on energy and oil and gas matters in the state.
