About Jennifer G.
Jennifer G. Prescott built her path to the law through study and street-level involvement. She earned a B.A. in political science from Louisiana State University and completed her J.D. at Southern University Law Center in 2008. The classroom shaped her legal thinking. Community work shaped her sense of purpose.
Early in her career she helped organize Baton Rouge Against Violent Offenses. That work, in 2011, put her in the middle of community responses to crime and public safety. It also gave her practical experience in coalition building and public outreach, skills that would recur in her later roles at law firms.
Prescott moved into firm practice as an associate in 2012 at deGravelles, Palmintier, Holthaus & Fruge, LLP. She later joined Joubert Law Office, APLC as an associate in 2015. Those positions exposed her to courtroom procedure, client counseling and the day-to-day demands of litigation. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing cases and clear in courtroom presentation.
Her professional associations reflect an interest in trial work and local engagement. She holds memberships in the American Association for Justice, the Louisiana Association for Justice and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. She maintains ties to regional legal networks and to organizations that emphasize trial advocacy. Those connections feed into continuing legal education and peer collaboration.
Prescott balances practice, community involvement and ongoing professional development. She has navigated both grassroots organizing and the structural demands of plaintiff-side litigation. Her career shows steady movement from community activism into courtroom practice. She currently practices in Louisiana, concentrating on civil trial work and litigation matters.
