About Jennifer
Jennifer Ferro built her legal foundation in Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2000. She then returned to Detroit to attend Wayne State University Law School, where she completed her J.D. in 2004 and concentrated on health care law during her studies.
Her early legal work included a clerkship at the City of Dearborn Corporation Counsel in 2006. In that role she handled research, drafted memoranda and assisted staff attorneys on municipal matters. The clerkship exposed her to the mechanics of public-law practice and the daily demands of advising a municipal legal office.
In 2009 Ferro joined Wachler & Associates, P.C. as an associate. Her resume lists that firm as her professional home, and she has worked there since taking the associate position. The move to private practice followed several years of public-sector experience and formal legal study that emphasized health care issues.
Ferro maintains active membership in the Michigan State Bar. Her background in health care law dates to law school coursework and continued through practice, where she has handled matters touching on regulatory and compliance questions alongside other legal work. She combines litigation experience from the firm with the perspective she gained in the corporation counsel’s office.
Colleagues describe Ferro as methodical in legal research and clear in written work. She takes a plainspoken approach to case analysis, breaking complex rules into steps that are easier for clients and coworkers to follow. That style reflects her time in municipal law, where practical answers and precise drafting are often essential to moving a matter forward.
Today Ferro practices at Wachler & Associates, P.C. in Michigan and remains an active member of the state bar. Her practice includes matters related to health care law and litigation.
