About Jennifer Brostmeyer
Jennifer Brostmeyer Hirneisen trained as a business student before turning to law. She earned a B.S. in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, in 2001. She went on to receive her J.D. from Dickinson School of Law in 2004. Those years established both her analytical approach to problems and a grounding in systems-oriented thinking that inform her legal work.
After law school she entered private practice. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and to the Third Circuit. Her career includes service as an associate at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton, where she joined the firm as a member of the litigation and transactional teams. She has handled matters that involve both trial-level proceedings and federal filings, reflecting the jurisdictions in which she is licensed to appear.
Hirneisen’s background in business logistics often shows up in how she approaches client matters. That training helps her parse contractual arrangements, understand supply-chain implications, and organize complex factual records. In practice she applies that practical perspective to client counseling, document review, and case preparation. Her admissions to the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit mean she is positioned to represent clients in state and federal forums, as well as in certain appellate settings.
Outside the office she maintains a steady presence in professional and community organizations. She holds memberships in the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania State Bar. Locally, she participates in the Erie County Bar Association’s Real Estate Leadership Committee. Her volunteer work includes time with Legal Aid and the Hooked on Books reading and mentoring program. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Supportive Living Services and takes part in the Habitat for Humanity Site Selection Committee. She mentors through the Lawyers and Kids Together program.
Colleagues describe her as methodical and thorough in handling files, and she balances firm responsibilities with community involvement. As an associate at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton she continues to build practical experience in matters presented in both state and federal courts while maintaining active volunteer roles in legal and local nonprofit programs. Her current practice focuses on serving clients through litigation and transactional work in Pennsylvania and federal venues.
