About Jennifer A
Jennifer A Mazzei earned her law degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2006. She completed law school after an intensive three-year program and entered public service shortly thereafter. Her early legal education set the stage for courtroom work and case handling that would mark her first years as an attorney.
She began her legal career in the Nassau County District Attorney's Office in 2006, serving as an Assistant District Lawyer. There she handled prosecutions, learned trial routines, and managed the daily demands of courtroom practice. The office provided regular exposure to arraignments, motion practice and jury trials, and it offered a practical grounding in criminal procedure and evidence.
In 2011 she moved into private practice and joined Mazzei & Polk, LLC. Her time in private practice has included representing clients at various stages of litigation and advising them on procedural and substantive issues. Her background in the district attorney’s office informs her courtroom approach.
