About Jennie Reid
Jennie Reid Wray took a traditional path into the law, completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and earning her Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2003. She continued her legal education at Vermont Law School and received her Juris Doctor in 2006. The sequence of degrees and early courtroom exposure set the tone for a career that has crossed state lines and courtroom doors.
Fresh out of law school she spent a year as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable Lourdes I. Santiago in New Jersey, serving on the state bench from 2006 to 2007. That clerkship offered close work on motions and written opinions, and gave her an inside view of the day-to-day mechanics of trial court proceedings. The experience informed her approach to litigation and counseling clients in later practice.
Jennie Reid Wray is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Colorado. She moved into private practice after her clerkship and eventually joined The Harris Law Office as a partner. In that role she has handled client matters, overseen litigation strategy and worked on negotiations. Her career includes both courtroom experience and transactional work, reflecting the mix of public and private sector roles she has held since 2006.
She has maintained an active presence in legal organizations in Colorado. Since 2008 she has been a member of the First Judicial District Bar Association and of the Colorado Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Since 2015 she has served on the board of the Colorado Lawyers Committee’s Young Lawyers Division. Those memberships keep her connected to the local bench and bar and to continuing legal education opportunities.
Colleagues describe her as steady in court and thorough on paper. Her background — a state judicial clerkship, multi-jurisdictional admissions and partnership at a local firm — gives her a practical perspective on case preparation and client counseling. She has worked on matters that require both negotiation and litigation skills, and she often represents clients in proceedings before family and trial courts.
She maintains an active practice at The Harris Law Office. She handles family law and related matters in Colorado, and she continues to be involved in the local legal community through bar associations and committee work.
