About Jenevra
Jenevra Georgini has built a career that moves between in-house counsel work and private practice in New York. She left a long run in corporate law to start her own firm in 2020, and she continues to handle matters that sit at the intersection of technology, branding and commercial agreements.
Her legal career began in the private sector as a technology transactions associate at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner in 1996. That early work in technology deals and licensing provided a technical foundation. Four years later she joined American International Group, Inc. as an assistant general counsel, stepping into a corporate legal department after beginning in a law firm setting.
At AIG she took on progressively senior roles. In 2005 she held several titles, including General Counsel for AIG.com, Inc. and General Counsel for AIG Employee Services, Inc., while also serving as an associate general counsel at the parent company, American International Group, Inc. Those posts involved managing contracts, vendor relationships and a variety of regulatory and operational issues for company subsidiaries.
In 2018 she moved to the role of Chief Branding & Sourcing Counsel at AIG. In that capacity she handled brand-related agreements and sourcing arrangements, and she worked on supplier contracts and licensing matters that tied corporate identity to procurement and third-party relationships.
In 2020 Georgini founded Spark + Sterling and took the title of founder and managing lawyer. The firm reflects her transition back into private practice and her interest in advising businesses on commercial contracts, technology transactions and issues that arise for internal legal teams.
She maintains professional memberships in New York legal and business groups. She has been a member of the State Bar of New York since 1996. She joined the New York State Bar Association and local Kingston business organizations in 2023, and she serves as an advisor to the Kingston Midtown Business Alliance since 2021.
Her practice blends experience from large corporate legal departments and boutique firm work. She handles technology and corporate agreements, branding and sourcing matters, and general counsel advisory work for companies and non‑profits. She currently practices in New York at Spark + Sterling, where she focuses on technology contracts, corporate transactional work and counsel services for businesses.
