About Jeffrey Paul
Jeffrey Paul Judge combined undergraduate business training and legal study before entering practice. He earned an MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities in 1991 and completed his J.D. at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 1994. Those credentials framed an early interest in how financial and legal systems intersect. He moved west and began building a practice in Arizona.
He was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 1994 and took a courtroom post early in his career. In 1995 he worked as a lawyer at the Tucson Public Defenders Office, where he handled criminal matters for clients in need of court-appointed representation. The job offered steady trial experience and regular contact with people confronting urgent legal problems.
In 2000 he shifted to private practice and formed Judge Law Office plc. The firm is listed under his name as Lawyer and Counselor at Law. Over the years his caseload gravitated toward consumer debt matters. The combination of an MBA and legal training made that a natural direction. He developed a practice that addresses individual financial distress and the legal steps people take to manage or resolve it.
Professional membership has been a consistent part of his career. He has been a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers since 2005, the Tucson Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers since 2012, and Arizona Consumer Bankruptcy Counsel beginning in 2020. He remains a member of the Arizona State Bar, where he has been listed as a lawyer since 1994. Those affiliations reflect ongoing contact with peers and continuing education in consumer bankruptcy law.
Colleagues and clients have noted his steady presence in the Tucson legal community. His early defender work gave him courtroom practice and client-facing experience under pressure. In private practice he applies that experience to the procedural and paperwork demands of bankruptcy filings and related matters. He handles negotiations, prepares filings, and represents individuals before trustees and in hearings.
His background in finance continues to inform how he frames options for clients. He can explain the economic trade-offs implicit in different paths — filing, repayment plans, and alternatives. He keeps his practice local and focused, working through cases from intake to resolution. He currently focuses on consumer bankruptcy practice.
