About Jeffrey M.
Jeffrey M. Sanders earned his law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1984. He completed his undergraduate studies in biology at Centre College in 1976. Those academic years set the stage for a long career that spans both state and federal practice.
After receiving his J.D., Sanders moved into private practice and began handling a range of matters in Kentucky. Over time he extended his practice into federal forums. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and in the United States Court of Federal Claims. Those admissions have allowed him to appear in trial and appellate proceedings across several jurisdictions.
Records show Sanders has been active in the profession since the mid-1980s. In 1997 he took on the role of principal at Jefffrey M. Sanders PLLC. As principal, he has overseen casework, client intake and litigation strategy at the firm. The firm name has been associated with his practice for decades.
Much of Sanders’s work has involved litigation in state and federal courts. Admission to the Sixth Circuit and the Court of Federal Claims indicates experience with appellate matters and claims against the federal government. He has handled filings, oral arguments and procedural matters in those settings. He also has maintained a practice in Kentucky’s courts, working through local procedural and substantive issues there.
Colleagues and court records depict a lawyer who has stayed active in courtroom practice and case management throughout his career. He has navigated jury trials, bench trials and appellate briefing over many years. That progression mirrors the steady expansion of his practice from its early days after law school to the present.
Sanders’s background in biology and an early start in law give him a cross-disciplinary perspective on cases that involve technical or scientific issues. He has applied that perspective to litigation and procedural work. He continues to manage cases through all phases of litigation and to represent clients in both federal and state venues.
He currently practices at Jefffrey M. Sanders PLLC, where his work centers on litigation in federal and Kentucky courts.
