About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Laffey is an attorney who combines formal trial training with steady courtroom experience. His path to the bar started in Philadelphia area schools and led to practice across two state lines.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Joseph's University in 1995. Three years later he received his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law in 1998. After several years in practice he returned to law school for postgraduate study and completed an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy at Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2005. That advanced study concentrated on trial techniques, evidence and courtroom presentation.
After law school Laffey built his career in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in both states. Over time he developed courtroom skills that reflect his graduate training in trial work. Colleagues and records show a steady practice of courtroom appearances and case preparation across state and local courts.
He is part of the team at Laffey, Bucci & Kent, LLP. At the firm he handles matters that take him into the courtroom and into negotiations. His background in trial advocacy informs how he prepares witnesses and frames arguments for judges and juries.
His approach to cases is direct and technical. He pays attention to procedural timing, evidentiary detail and the practical demands of litigation. That emphasis on courtroom mechanics extends to depositions and pretrial practice as well.
Outside of trials, he has maintained ties to the legal communities in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has kept his practice current through continuing legal education and by adapting to evolving court rules and procedures.
Clients and peers see him as someone who prefers to let courtroom work speak for itself. He focuses on presenting clear factual records and orderly legal arguments. He continues to handle matters through Laffey, Bucci & Kent, LLP, drawing on his trial advocacy training in cases across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
