About Jeffrey G

Jeffrey G Hunter earned his J.D. from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 1998. He completed his legal education as the late 1990s legal landscape adjusted to new technologies and evolving trial practice. That period shaped many young lawyers who would go on to handle both courtroom work and appellate filings, and Hunter’s education provided the foundation for that path.

He is admitted to practice in Alabama and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. These admissions have allowed him to appear in state courts across Alabama and to take cases to the federal appellate level when appeals are necessary. Over time he has built a practice that moves between trial proceedings and appellate briefing, depending on what a matter requires.

Hunter has been active in bar and professional groups. He holds membership in the Alabama Association for Justice, a group that brings together trial lawyers from across the state. In 2016 he served on the Alabama State Bar Quality of Life, Health & Wellness Task Force. That role placed him in conversations about attorney wellness and the pressures of modern practice. Participation in that task force reflects an interest in improving professional conditions for lawyers and their families.

Colleagues describe Hunter as steady and pragmatic in his approach. He prepares cases with attention to both facts and procedure. He has worked on matters that required careful management of courtroom deadlines and appellate timetables. His practice requires both written advocacy and oral presentation skills, and he moves between those tasks regularly. He has stayed engaged with professional groups to keep abreast of changes in practice and ethics.

Today Hunter continues to practice law in Alabama and to handle matters that proceed to the Eleventh Circuit when appeals are appropriate. He remains a member of the Alabama Association for Justice and has maintained ties to groups focusing on lawyer well-being. He currently concentrates his practice on litigation in Alabama state courts and on appeals in the Eleventh Circuit.
