About Jeffrey D.
Jeffrey D. Maynard earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University in 1994. He began his legal career in Michigan courts shortly after graduation and moved into private practice before establishing his own firm.
He has been the owner of Maynard Law Associates, PLLC since 1999. The firm reflects his decision to build a practice rooted in courtroom work and client representation. Over the years he has handled matters that required appearances in both trial courts and appellate settings.
Maynard is admitted to practice in Michigan and before the Federal Circuit. He has been a member of the State Bar of Michigan in good standing since 1999. His admission to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan dates to 1999, and he was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan in 2010.
He works regularly in federal and state court. That work has included trials and proceedings in district courts and filings at the appellate level. Maynard’s courtroom experience spans pretrial practice, motion work and oral argument, and he often handles matters that move between trial and appellate forums.
Outside of court filings and hearings, he manages the daily operations of his firm. Running a small practice requires juggling client work, case strategy and firm administration. He has said that managing those demands is part of practicing law in a regional market like Michigan.
He continues to maintain his practice at Maynard Law Associates, PLLC, representing clients in state and federal matters, including litigation and appellate proceedings.
