Jeffrey B — Diamond has been practicing law in Carlsbad, New Mexico, since 1976. Born in Manhattan, New York, in 1950, he grew up in Lakewood, New Jersey, and graduated from the Hun School of Princeton in 1968. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Dickinson College in 1972 and studied at the Dickinson Center for International Studies in Bologna, Italy, during the 1970-71 academic year. Before attending law school, he interned in the U.S. Senate and served as a full-time Senate staffer from June 1972 to August 1973. He received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1976. Admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 1976, Mr.

Diamond is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Mexico and the Western District of Arkansas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th and 7th Circuits. The U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the New Mexico State Bar, the Eddy County Bar Association, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives. Notably, he was the first lawyer in New Mexico and the seventh in the United States to become board certified in Social Security Disability law by the Board of Legal Specialty Certification. He has been recertified for five years as a Social Security Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr.

Diamond's practice focuses on personal injury and Social Security Disability cases. He has experience in handling various personal injury matters, including car accidents, construction accidents, and wrongful death cases. His Social Security Disability practice involves assisting clients in obtaining benefits and navigating the appeals process. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Diamond has been actively involved in community service. He served as President and member of the Carlsbad Board of Education from 1989 to 1993, founded and presided over the Carlsbad Mental Health Association from 1985 to 1990, and chaired the Eddy County Democratic Party from 1982 to 1986. He has been a board member of the Anti-Defamation League of New Mexico and has held leadership roles in local Masonic organizations. He is also a life member of the NAACP and has served as President of the Carlsbad Jewish Congregation. From 2002 to 2010, he served on the Carlsbad City Council and was a founder of the Carlsbad Community Development Corporation, which builds affordable housing as part of a construction trades vocational training program.

Mr. Diamond continues to advocate for civil rights and social justice. In April 2011, he attended an Anti-Defamation League conference in Washington, D.C., focusing on topics such as bullying in schools, civil rights in the 21st century, and Middle East affairs. He currently serves as the New Mexico State President of the Anti-Defamation League. His law firm, The Jeff Diamond Law Firm, has offices in Carlsbad, Roswell, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Odessa, and El Paso. The firm offers free consultations and operates on a contingent fee basis.
