About Jeffrey A
Jeffrey A Franklin trained as a political scientist before he became a lawyer. He earned a B.A. in political science, international relations and law from Bucknell University in 1987. He stayed in Pennsylvania for law school and received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1990.
His early career moved into private practice. Over time he developed courtroom experience and appellate familiarity. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, before the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those registrations shape the work he takes and the matters he handles.
Franklin has spent much of his professional life at Prince Law Offices, P.C. The firm has been the principal locus of his practice. He has handled civil matters and represented individuals and entities in state and federal proceedings. His work has included trial-level representation and argument in appellate settings.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in court preparation. He aims to simplify complex legal questions so judges and juries can address the core issues. His background in political science informs how he frames factual narratives and evaluates statutory texts. He is a member of professional associations and retains current memberships in organizations relevant to his practice.
He has litigated across a range of civil topics. That breadth has required both document drafting and oral advocacy. He has argued motions, prepared discovery strategies and stepped into court for contested hearings. The record shows frequent engagement with procedural and substantive problems that turn on close readings of law and precedent.
Outside the courtroom, Franklin has kept ties to the local legal community and to the institutions that trained him. He occasionally mentors newer lawyers and participates in discussions about practice strategy. He also maintains the certifications and registrations necessary to appear before the federal appellate court and the nation’s highest court.
Today he continues to practice at Prince Law Offices, P.C., where his work centers on civil litigation and related matters.
