Jeffrey A Franklin trained as a political scientist before he became a lawyer. He earned a B.A. in political science, international relations and law from Bucknell University in 1987. He stayed in Pennsylvania for law school and received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1990.
