About Jeffery A.
Jeffery A. Balls graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in political science and economics in 2006. He returned to the university for law school and earned his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2009. Those years at Utah shaped the practical and analytical side of his approach to legal work.
After finishing law school he entered private practice. Over time he built experience handling the kinds of matters that bring clients to a regional firm. He has practiced at Parr Brown Gee & Loveless, where he works alongside colleagues on a range of client issues. He also maintains memberships in professional associations and stays engaged with the legal community through that involvement.
Colleagues describe his day-to-day work as steady and methodical. He handles assignments that require research, drafting, and client counseling. He has been involved in matters requiring negotiation and the preparation of litigation materials. His practice has included advising both individual and organizational clients on issues presented to the firm.
Outside of casework he draws on his undergraduate background in political science and economics when evaluating regulatory and business-related questions for clients. That interdisciplinary grounding informs how he frames problems and identifies practical next steps. He regularly collaborates with other attorneys at his firm to match technical needs to client goals, and he contributes to team efforts on larger matters.
Balls continues to maintain ties to the Utah legal community through association memberships and professional contacts. He is active in the patterns of practice that define firm life: client intake, matter management, and working within teams to move files forward. He keeps current on developments relevant to the work his colleagues and clients bring to the firm.
He currently practices at Parr Brown Gee & Loveless, where his work centers on the firm’s matters for a mix of private and institutional clients.
