About Jeff
Jeff Groover earned his J.D. from Stetson University. He later gained admission to practice in both Florida and Georgia. The law degree and dual licensure provided the formal foundation for a career that has moved steadily from support roles to partnership.
Groover began working in law in 2003 as a legal assistant and paralegal at Smith and Jenkins, PC. That early position put him inside law office workflows and case preparation. It offered practical experience in document management, client contact and the day-to-day tasks that keep a firm functioning.
A decade later he returned to firm practice as a law clerk at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. in 2013. Two years after that he joined the same firm as a lawyer. The progression from clerk to attorney within the firm gave him continuity on matters and an opportunity to take on increased responsibility in casework and client representation.
In 2018 Groover moved to Kanner & Pintaluga and took a partnership role in the Property Damage Division. As partner he has worked on matters arising from property losses and insurance disputes. His role has included case assessment, negotiation with insurers, and courtroom appearances when resolution through settlement proved elusive.
His practice concentrates on property damage issues. That includes disputed insurance claims, evaluations of loss and coverage questions. He has handled both pre‑litigation claims work and contested matters that proceed into litigation. He represents property owners, and he works with the technical reports and adjuster evaluations that often determine outcomes in damage cases.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing files and direct in courtroom settings. He approaches cases with an emphasis on clear factual presentation and a readiness to pursue litigation when facts and policy language support that path. He has worked across matters that require coordinating contractors, adjusters and expert witnesses.
Groover is based at Kanner & Pintaluga. His career arc — from paralegal work through law clerk and associate roles to partnership — reflects sustained practice in property damage and insurance matters. He practices at Kanner & Pintaluga in the Property Damage Division, where he works on property damage matters.
