Jeanne MacCalden Kvale is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1995. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Kvale is a principal at Hathaway, Perrett, Webster, Powers, Chrisman & Gutierrez, a law firm located in Ventura, California. She has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout Ventura County and the surrounding areas.
Ms. Kvale earned her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1995, graduating cum laude. During her time at Pepperdine, she served as an editor of the Pepperdine Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Occidental College, receiving an A.B. degree in 1992 with a major in philosophy.
Ms. Kvale concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust administration, and trust litigation. She represents individuals and families in matters involving wills, living trusts, and the administration of estates. Her practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including initial consultations, document preparation, negotiations, and litigation in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Kvale has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for Ventura County, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Hathaway, Perrett, Webster, Powers, Chrisman & Gutierrez, she worked as an associate at Hatch & Parent, A Law Corporation, from 1995 to 2001.
Ms. Kvale is an active member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. She holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law. She has served as a board member of the Ventura County Bar Association and has been involved in various community organizations, including the ARC of Ventura County. Ms. Kvale is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Ventura County effectively.
