Jeanine Grimmond Strong is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Strong is the founder and principal attorney at Strong Appellate Law, a firm specializing in appellate practice located in Carmel, California. She has been practicing law for over 35 years, serving clients throughout the Monterey County area.
Ms. Strong earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1986. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Iowa, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her time at the University of Iowa College of Law, she served as Articles Editor on the Iowa Law Review, demonstrating her commitment to legal scholarship and writing.
Ms. Strong concentrates her practice in appellate law, focusing on both civil and criminal appeals. She represents clients in writs and appeals, providing comprehensive services that include consulting with trial lawyers, drafting dispositive motions, motions in limine, trial briefs, and post-trial motions. Her work encompasses all stages of appellate litigation, from initial case evaluation to post-conviction relief. Throughout her career, Ms. Strong has handled cases in various appellate courts, including the California Court of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as a litigation associate at Brobeck Phleger & Harrison in San Francisco and served as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Strong is an active member of the California State Bar and holds a certification as an Appellate Law Specialist from the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, a certification held by fewer than 300 attorneys in California. She is also a founding member of the Appellate Courts Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and has presented numerous continuing education programs on appellate practice and legal writing. Additionally, she teaches Appellate Advocacy at Santa Clara University School of Law. Ms. Strong is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
