About Jay G.
Jay G. Wall learned the mechanics of courtroom practice through formal study and early work in a county prosecutor’s office. He earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University in 2007, where he studied Criminal Trial Practice. That academic background set the stage for the first years of his legal career.
He joined the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office in 2008 as an assistant district lawyer. In that role he handled prosecutions and gained practical trial experience. The job kept him in court frequently and offered an array of case types typical of a busy local prosecutor’s office.
After several years in public service, he moved into private practice. In 2016 he opened The Law Office of Jay G. Wall. The transition put him on the other side of many matters he had once prosecuted. He has represented clients in state-level proceedings and continued to appear in Georgia courts.
Wall holds membership in the Blue Ridge Bar Association of Cherokee County, active since 2008. He is also a member of the Cobb County Bar Association, a membership he began in 2016. Those local bar ties connect him to colleagues across the region and to continuing legal education opportunities relevant to trial work.
His experience combines the prosecutorial perspective of his years as an assistant district lawyer with the responsibilities of a solo practitioner.
