About Javier

Javier Ortiz moved from Southern California to the Pacific Northwest to study law after completing his undergraduate degree. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Riverside in 2012. Four years later he received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2016. His time in law school included courtroom clinics and legal writing courses that shaped his practical approach to client matters.

After law school he began working at Seacoma Law, PLLC. Over the past several years he has handled a steady caseload for the firm and taken on a variety of tasks that range from client counseling to courtroom representation in Washington. He is licensed to practice in Washington and maintains a practice tied to the local legal community.

Ortiz maintains an active membership in the King County Bar Association. He attends association events and takes part in local bar activities that connect lawyers across practice areas. That local involvement informs how he approaches cases and client communication. Peers and colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in his preparation.

His work at Seacoma Law has involved intake, case assessment, drafting pleadings and negotiating on behalf of clients. He balances litigation preparation with efforts to resolve disputes short of trial when appropriate. He focuses on clear explanations for clients. He aims to give people concrete options rather than long lists of hypotheticals.

Clients and colleagues see Ortiz as approachable. He works to make the process understandable. That includes one-on-one meetings, regular status updates and clear written summaries of next steps. He prefers straightforward language over legalese when speaking with people who are new to the court system.

He is based at Seacoma Law, PLLC, where he represents individuals and entities in matters handled by the firm. He continues to practice in Washington and remains an active participant in the King County Bar Association. His current practice focuses on client representation and case management at Seacoma Law, PLLC.
