About Jason
Jason Wiggam is an attorney who combines academic study in tax law with more than a decade of practice in tax controversy and private client matters. He holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (2015), a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law (2010) and a B.S. in Political Science from Clemson University (2006).
After law school he joined Gomel, Davis & Watson, LLP as an associate in 2010. That early work exposed him to client-side tax issues and courtroom procedure. In 2014 he moved to The Private Client Law Group as an associate, where he handled a mix of individual and trustee matters and gained further experience in tax controversies.
Wiggam began leading his own practice in 2016 as a founding partner of The Wiggam Law Office. He became a partner at Wiggam & Geer, LLC in 2017 and later founded Wiggam Law in 2022. Those moves marked a steady progression from firm associate to firm founder. They also reflect a practice shaped increasingly around tax dispute resolution and representation of taxpayers before administrative and judicial forums.
He is licensed to practice in Georgia and appears before the U.S. Tax Court and the Federal Circuit. That range of admissions allows him to take cases from audit and administrative appeals through to federal litigation. Colleagues describe his courtroom work as methodical. Clients bring him matters that often involve contested assessments, penalty disputes and installment agreement or offer-in-compromise negotiations.
Wiggam has served on the board of the Philip C. Cook Low Income Taxpayer Clinic since 2014. That role involves clinic oversight and helping provide representation to taxpayers who could not otherwise afford counsel. He also maintains professional memberships related to tax practice and legal services for underserved taxpayers.
His background—academic training in taxation combined with private practice and clinic service—shapes the kinds of matters he accepts. He handles audits, administrative appeals, collection-defense work and litigation in tax court. He currently practices at Wiggam Law, concentrating on tax controversy and tax resolution matters.
