About Jason
Jason Weaver built his academic groundwork in Louisiana. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in 2009 after studying interdisciplinary subjects that combined business, history and political science. He then attended Southern University Law Center and received his Juris Doctor in 2013.
He moved into practice soon after law school. In 2013 he joined Galloway Jefcoat, LLP as an attorney. That early stretch gave him regular courtroom exposure and handled a range of matters typical for a young litigator at a regional firm. In 2022 he took a position at Anderson Blanda & Saltzman, where he continues to practice.
Weaver maintains active memberships in several legal organizations across the state and nationally. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and the Lafayette Bar Association. He also belongs to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the Louisiana Association of Justice. Those affiliations reflect a practice life tied to both the local legal community and broader trial-oriented groups.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and detail-oriented in case preparation. He has taken on responsibilities that range from drafting pleadings to preparing witnesses for hearings. His work at two different firms offered him exposure to varied client needs and to the rhythm of litigation in state courts.
Outside the courtroom he keeps close ties to the Lafayette legal scene. Membership in local bar groups has led to participation in continuing legal education and networking events. Those activities feed back into his daily work, helping him stay current on procedural developments and trial practice in Louisiana.
He is licensed to practice in Louisiana and has continued his career in the state since completing law school. His experience spans more than a decade in private practice, across both the earlier years at Galloway Jefcoat and his later role at Anderson Blanda & Saltzman. He handles litigation and trial matters at Anderson Blanda & Saltzman in Louisiana.
