About Jason

Jason Ollman graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2006. Those academic years provided the legal and practical foundations he has used throughout his career.

After law school Ollman became licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He has maintained memberships in the Rhode Island Bar Association and in regional criminal defense organizations, including the Rhode Island Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those affiliations have kept him connected to peers and current developments in criminal law across both states.

Ollman’s practice is concentrated in criminal defense. He handles cases that range from routine charges to more serious felonies, taking cases in state courts across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He has experience in arraignments, pretrial motions, plea negotiations, and trial work. Colleagues describe him as someone who prepares cases carefully and engages critically with evidence and procedure. He often works with investigators, forensic consultants, and mitigation specialists when cases require additional factual development.

Over time Ollman has balanced courtroom work with client counseling. He spends time explaining options and likely outcomes to people facing criminal charges, aiming to give them clear information about risks and next steps. He also assists clients through the procedural stages that follow an arrest: discovery review, filing substantive motions, and negotiating resolutions when appropriate. His practice reflects familiarity with the local rules and expectations of judges and prosecutors in the two states where he is licensed.

Ollman practices out of Marin, Barrett, and Murphy Law Office. There he handles individual criminal matters and collaborates with colleagues on more complex files. He continues to participate in professional associations that focus on criminal defense practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and he keeps active in matters that arise in both jurisdictions. He currently practices criminal defense at Marin, Barrett, and Murphy Law Office, representing clients in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
