About Jason C.
Jason C. Brown built a foundation in communication before he built his legal practice. He earned a B.S. in Speech Communication and Technical Writing from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1997. He then attended William Mitchell College of Law and received his J.D. in 2000. Those early years left him comfortable with the written word and ready for court calendars.
His legal career began while he was still in law school. In 1999 he worked as a law clerk at Arthur, Chapman, Kettering Smetak & Pikala, P.A. After law school he joined Pritzker Olsen, P.A. as an associate in 2001. He served as a judicial clerk in the Tenth Judicial District of Minnesota in 2002. In 2003 he opened Brown Law Offices, P.A., where he has practiced since. The sequence of clerkships and firm work exposed him to trials, pleadings and courtroom procedure early on.
Brown has been active in professional circles for more than two decades. He has held membership in the Minnesota State Bar Association since 2000. From 2003 to 2005 he chaired the Family Law Section of the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, a role that involved organizing section activities and engaging with other practitioners on procedural and substantive developments. He spent a year teaching family law as an adjunct professor at North Hennepin Community College from 2006 to 2007, which put him in front of students and on the other side of the lectern.
His work reflects a steady orientation toward family law and courtroom practice. He handles family law matters, and his background includes trial experience and courtroom procedure. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation for hearings and trials. He has worked on cases that required drafting pleadings, managing discovery and arguing contested motions. Those activities have been a through line from his earliest clerkships to his private practice.
At Brown Law Offices, P.A., he manages cases for clients across Minnesota. The office handles the procedural side of litigation and the day-to-day demands of family law practice. He maintains an active law practice in Minnesota and centers his work on family law and related litigation matters.
