About Jared
Jared Newman studied criminology at the University of Florida before turning to law. He completed legal studies at South Texas College of Law and entered practice in the years that followed. Those academic choices set the groundwork for a career spent in Florida courts and offices.
He began his professional legal work as an associate at Greenspoon Marder in 2011. In that role he handled a variety of client matters and developed practical courtroom and office experience. The position provided early exposure to case preparation, motions practice and client advising, and it helped shape his approach to day-to-day lawyering.
In 2016 he moved to Shaked Law Office, P.A., where he served as a lawyer. There he carried greater responsibilities for managing cases and communicating with clients. The job required him to coordinate discovery, work with opposing counsel and maintain regular client contact. It was a period of heavier case management and closer oversight of case strategy.
By 2019 he had taken on a leadership role as the managing partner at South Florida Law, PLLC. As managing partner he handles administrative duties alongside an active caseload. He oversees staff, directs firm operations, and participates in major case decisions. The shift into firm leadership altered the balance of his work but kept him involved in courtroom and client work.
Newman is admitted to practice in Florida and maintains his practice in that jurisdiction. Over the course of his career he has combined litigation tasks and office management. He has experience taking cases from intake through resolution and has worked on both pretrial preparation and courtroom matters.
He practices at South Florida Law, PLLC, handling matters for clients across Florida. His current practice concentrates on serving individuals and businesses through the firm’s office in South Florida.
