About Jared
Jared Mullowney earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating in 2013. His time in Lubbock coincided with a period of curricular change at the school. He completed the requirements for the J.D. program and moved into practice soon after finishing law school.
He began his legal career in private practice and now is a lawyer at The Barber Law Office. At the firm he has handled a range of client matters that require both courtroom work and transactional attention. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he approaches casework by breaking problems into discrete issues and addressing each in turn. The Barber Law Office maintains a principal office and several regional locations, and Mullowney’s work has been shaped by that multi-office structure.
Over the years he has taken on responsibilities typical of firm attorneys: client intake, legal research, drafting pleadings and negotiating on behalf of clients. He has appeared in state court and has prepared matters for administrative proceedings and settlement discussions. His day-to-day practice combines written advocacy with oral argument and client counseling. He places emphasis on clear explanations for clients who may be facing unfamiliar legal processes.
Mullowney also maintains professional memberships. He keeps ties to the bar through local association participation and attends continuing legal education programs to stay current on statutory and procedural changes. He contributes to firm strategy sessions and mentors newer associates on procedural practice and court filings. Those who work with him note a steady procedural approach and attention to deadlines.
Outside of litigation tasks he assists with case assessment and helps set realistic expectations for outcomes. He works with clients to outline options early in a matter so they can make informed decisions about settlement or trial preparation. He believes practical planning reduces surprises and helps control costs for clients working within budget constraints.
Based in the firm’s multi-office practice, Mullowney handles matters at locations including the firm’s Dallas, Frisco, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Irving and San Antonio offices. He currently practices at The Barber Law Office, serving clients across the firm’s principal office and its regional locations.
