About Jane E.
Jane E. Nagle earned her law degree from DePaul College of Law in 2009 after completing an undergraduate program at Indiana University–Bloomington in 2002, where she studied International Studies alongside Spanish and Italian. Those academic years shaped an international outlook and a facility with modern languages, and they set the stage for her entry into Illinois practice.
She is admitted to the Illinois bar and is authorized to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Those admissions have allowed her to handle matters in both state and federal forums. Early in her legal career she joined Anderson & Associates, P.C. as an associate in 2012. Two years later she became a partner at Kollias & Giese, P.C., marking a move into firm leadership and broader responsibility for client work and case management.
Nagle remained on a leadership track. By 2020 she held the title of managing partner at McSwain Nagle & Giese, P.C. The firm later evolved into McSwain Nagle Giese & Rapp, P.C., where she was named managing partner in 2022. Her progression from associate to partner to managing partner reflects steady advancement inside small and mid-size firm environments.
Outside the office she has taken on roles in bar governance and professional publication. She served as Bar Journal Secretary for the Illinois State Bar Association from 2021 to 2022 and is a member of the Illinois Bar Journal Editorial Board’s standing committee. She also maintains memberships in the DuPage County Bar Association and the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers, both since 2012, and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association more broadly.
Colleagues describe her as attentive to detail and accustomed to the logistical demands of managing a firm. She has overseen internal operations and client intake while participating in the editorial oversight of a state bar publication. Her background in international studies and languages informs how she approaches cases that touch on cross-border considerations or involve foreign-born clients.
She remains active in the local legal community through bar association involvement and editorial work. Her trajectory through private practice and bar leadership has centered on firm management, courtroom admissions, and professional service. She currently serves as managing partner at McSwain Nagle Giese & Rapp, P.C., practicing in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
