About Jamie
Jamie Goodwin earned her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 2005 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2001. The sequence of degrees marked a steady progression from a broad liberal arts education to professional legal training in Boston. Her time at Northeastern coincided with the school’s emphasis on practical skills, clinical placements and cooperative experiences that often shape early practice habits for new attorneys.
After law school Goodwin entered practice in New England. Over the years she has taken on roles that led to firm leadership. She serves as managing partner at Duddy Goodwin & Pollard, where she shares responsibility for the firm’s administration and direction. Colleagues describe her as someone who balances day-to-day management tasks with the demands of client work. In that role she has supervised teams, overseen case preparation and handled internal workflow matters.
Goodwin maintains active bar memberships in Massachusetts and Florida, and she is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Those admissions allow her to appear in state and federal courts across more than one jurisdiction. She is a current member of the Massachusetts State Bar and The Florida Bar. Her professional affiliations keep her connected to developments in both states and to the procedural differences that come with federal practice.
Her work as managing partner requires both legal judgment and administrative skill. She spends time mentoring junior attorneys and coordinating litigation and transactional work across the firm. She is known inside the firm for an attention to procedural detail and to the practical demands of preparing matters for court. Goodwin’s background at Northeastern informs her approach to training new lawyers and to organizing teams for trials and hearings.
Outside the office she has maintained ties to the legal communities in Massachusetts and Florida through bar membership and courtroom admissions. Her practice spans the geographic range indicated by those licenses and she appears in federal court where matters require it. She currently practices at Duddy Goodwin & Pollard, serving as managing partner while handling matters in Massachusetts, Florida, and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
