About James W.
James W. Nuebel built his legal foundation at Florida State University. He earned a B.S. in Criminology in 1981 and later returned to FSU College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1986. Those years shaped his knowledge of both criminal justice and the practice of law.
He joined The Florida Bar in 1987 and has held membership there since. Early in his career he gravitated toward issues that intersect law and public benefits. Over time his work brought him into administrative hearings and courtroom proceedings across the state.
Nuebel maintained ties to his alma mater. He served on the Florida State University Law Alumni Board of Directors from 2013 until 2019. That role kept him connected to law students and alumni, and to evolving discussions about legal education in Florida.
Professional associations have marked much of his career. He was a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives from 2009 through 2022. He also held membership in the Orange County Bar Association for a stretch running from 1998 to 2022. Those affiliations reflect a sustained involvement in the local and national legal communities.
His work has included representation of individuals in disability benefit matters and related administrative appeals, consistent with his long association with social security claimants’ representatives. He has handled cases that required navigating hearings before administrative law judges as well as interactions with state and federal agencies.
Nuebel operates from an office in the Village Center in Baldwin Park. He continues to practice law in Florida and remains active in legal circles that address administrative and civil matters. Today his practice includes social security disability representation and other civil matters in Florida.
