James L Paisley trained first as a business student before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. He then attended Florida State University College of Law and completed his legal education there. That mix of business and legal studies shaped the approach he would bring to his practice.
He began his legal career in a firm setting. In 2009 he served as associate counsel at Ted Hollander & Associates. A year later he launched his own firm, Paisley Law Office, LLC. Four years after that he became a partner at Ferguson & Paisley, L.L.C. The moves track a steady shift from associate work to firm leadership and ownership.
Paisley is admitted to practice in Georgia, Florida and before the Federal Circuit. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters in both state and federal forums. Over time he has built a practice that frequently involves courtroom work and case preparation for trials.
