About James J.
James J. Nawrocki built a legal foundation at DePaul University before completing his Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School in 1985. His time in law school culminated in a degree that kicked off a long career in both military and civilian legal practice. He earned his J.D. in 1985 and moved quickly into roles that put him in courtrooms and legal offices.
Early in his career Nawrocki served in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps in 1984. That period exposed him to military legal procedures and the particular demands of representing service members. It was a formative chapter that gave him experience in litigation-related tasks and in handling cases under structured procedural rules.
After his military service and legal studies, Nawrocki transitioned into civilian practice. He became a partner at GWC Injury Lawyers LLC in 1995. Over the years he has handled civil litigation matters and represented individuals in injury claims. His work has included pretrial investigation, filing and responding to pleadings, and conducting negotiations on behalf of clients.
Nawrocki also maintains membership in professional legal associations. He keeps current with professional networks and participates in the legal community. That involvement supports his practice by keeping him connected to peers and developments in civil practice.
In day-to-day work he balances contested hearings and negotiated resolutions. He prepares cases for trial when necessary, while also pursuing settlements when they serve a client’s interest. He is accustomed to the routines of civil litigation: discovery, motions practice, and court appearances. Those routines make up much of his professional life.
Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who has worked in different legal settings. His military service and his long tenure at a firm devoted to injury matters provide a varied background. He brings that background to individual casework, applying courtroom experience and practical case management.
Nawrocki continues to practice at GWC Injury Lawyers LLC. His current practice concentrates on representing clients in injury matters.
