Mr. Berge earned his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1986. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Santa Clara University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting magna cum laude in 1982. He furthered his legal education by obtaining a Master of Laws in Taxation magna cum laude from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1991. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant in California.

He contributes to the legal community as a contributing author and editor to "Representing the Disabled Person" and "Special Needs Trusts: Planning, Drafting and Administration," publications of California Continuing Education of the Bar.
