James Brian Preston is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1973. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Preston is the principal attorney at James B. Preston, A Professional Corp., a law firm located at 309 N West St, Visalia, California. He has been practicing law for over fifty years, serving clients throughout Tulare County and the surrounding Central Valley region.
Mr. Preston earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he graduated in 1972. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at San Francisco State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at UC Hastings, he was inducted into the Order of the Coif, an honor society recognizing academic excellence in law.
Mr. Preston specializes in family law, focusing on divorce, child support, and related matters. He represents individuals in both contested and uncontested divorce proceedings, including those involving complex property division and spousal support issues. He is also a member of the State Bar of California and has served on its Family Law Executive Committee. In the community, he has been involved in various activities, including serving as President of the Visalia Breakfast Rotary Club. Mr. Preston is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Tulare County effectively.
