About Jacqueline
Jacqueline Epstein took a conventional path into the law. She earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Loyola University New Orleans in 2003 and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007. Those years set the technical groundwork for a practice rooted in Louisiana courts and community dispute resolution.
Epstein was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 2009. Early in her career she became active in the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. She served as Vice Chair of the General, Solo, and Small Practice Committee in 2011 and held roles on the Resolutions Team beginning in 2010. In 2010 she was named a Touch 10,000 Ambassador, a position she used to broaden outreach and involvement among newer lawyers. In 2014 she served as Liaison to the Commission on Women in the Profession, representing the Young Lawyers Division.
Her involvement extends into state and local groups. Epstein joined the A.P. Tureaud Inn of Court in 2012 and has maintained membership since then. She has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar since 2009. For a period she contributed to the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Childrens Law Committee from 2014 to 2015, and she participated in the Lawyers in Libraries program in 2014.
A notable professional credential is her listing on the Louisiana State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee Mediator Registry. Since 2014 she has been registered as a Child Custody and Visitation Mediator. That role involves conducting mediations in family law matters, preparing written recommendations for courts in some cases, and working with parents and attorneys to reach negotiated outcomes outside of lengthy litigation.
Epstein’s background shows a blend of institutional engagement and practical dispute resolution. Her ABA roles reflect early leadership and an interest in the structures that support small practice and solo attorneys. Her Inn of Court membership connects her to continuing legal education and peer review among trial and appellate practitioners.
She maintains an active law license in Louisiana and practices in the state. Her current work centers on family law matters and mediation, handling custody and visitation issues and related dispute resolution services in Louisiana.
