About Jacob W.

Jacob W. Dannen graduated from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota School of Law in 2016. He completed his studies during a period of change in the profession, when courts and clients were beginning to rely more on remote processes. His time in law school exposed him to trial procedure and client advocacy, and it set the stage for a practice in Texas.

After law school, Dannen moved into private practice in Texas. Early in his career he worked at Hinson Legal, where he gained hands-on experience representing clients in contested matters. That role offered frequent courtroom exposure and allowed him to develop practical skills in case preparation and negotiation. Over the years he has built a practice grounded in litigation fundamentals and client counseling.

Dannen’s work has centered on family law. He handles divorce proceedings, child custody and support disputes, and matters that require detailed financial analysis. He represents clients at settlement conferences and hearings, and prepares documentation for complex property division cases. His approach is direct. He aims to present facts clearly to judges and opposing counsel. He also spends time preparing clients for what to expect during courtroom appearances and mediation sessions.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in case management. He pays attention to procedural deadlines and emphasizes thorough discovery. When cases go to trial, Dannen has experience presenting witnesses and evidence, and he has argued procedural motions. He also assists in drafting agreements meant to resolve family disputes outside of court. His practice balances litigation and negotiated resolution, depending on each client’s objectives.

Dannen is currently associated with the Evans Family Law Group. There he continues to represent individuals in family law matters across Texas. He works from the firm’s office handling both contested litigation and settlement efforts. In practice he focuses on achieving practical outcomes for clients involved in divorce and custody matters, while maintaining attention to the procedural and evidentiary aspects of each case.
