About Jacob Benjamin

Jacob Benjamin Bradshaw earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2019 after beginning his studies in 2016. He completed a rigorous course of study at Virginia, where classroom work and clinical opportunities shaped his early understanding of trial procedure and legal research. The law school years also coincided with internships and practical placements that prefaced his move into the courthouse.

While still in law school, Bradshaw spent part of 2018 serving as a judicial law clerk at the Albermarle County Circuit Court. That year in the clerk’s office gave him daily exposure to courtroom calendars, opinion drafting, and the mechanics of state court practice. Working under the supervision of the court, he handled legal research, prepared memoranda for judge review, and observed oral arguments—tasks that offered a close-up view of how civil and criminal matters proceed from filing to disposition.

Following graduation, he joined Greenblatt & Veliev, LLC as an associate in 2019. In that role he shifted from an observer in the clerk’s chambers to an advocate in the firm setting. His work has involved preparing pleadings, conducting client interviews, and contributing to case strategy alongside more senior attorneys. The transition from clerkship to firm practice allowed him to apply the procedural knowledge he developed on the bench to the needs of clients.

Bradshaw maintains professional ties in Maryland. He holds membership in the Bar Association of Montgomery County, MD, where he connects with other practitioners and participates in local bar activities. That membership keeps him plugged into developments in the region’s courts and offers opportunities for continuing legal education and community-oriented programs.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in his legal writing and steady in court preparation. He approaches each matter by breaking complex issues into discrete tasks and working through them systematically. That style reflects the practical training he received both at Virginia and during his clerkship.

He is currently an associate at Greenblatt & Veliev, LLC, where he practices day-to-day legal work for the firm’s clients and supports litigation and case management efforts.
