About Jack Tobias
Jack Tobias Cook built his legal foundation in the Southeast. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, pursued graduate coursework at the University of Central Florida, and earned his law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law. Those years shaped his approach to litigation and courtroom procedure.
After law school, Cook took the path many do: he entered private practice and sought admission to multiple courts. He is licensed in Florida and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Those admissions allow him to handle matters that move between state and federal forums.
Early in his career Cook focused on gaining trial experience and familiarity with federal practice. He spent time managing case preparation, drafting motions, and appearing in hearings. He learned to break complex issues into discrete questions that judges and juries could weigh. Colleagues note his straightforward style in court and his attention to procedural detail.
Cook later joined Morgan & Morgan. At the firm he continued to build a practice that takes advantage of his multi-jurisdictional admissions. The environment at Morgan & Morgan provided access to larger case teams and resources for investigation. There he worked alongside other litigators on matters that required coordination across counties and districts.
Outside the courtroom, Cook maintains connections to the bench and bar through local professional activity. He completed graduate studies that inform his analytical work and returned that benefit to clients through careful legal research and a disciplined approach to discovery. He has presented arguments in federal court and handled filings that require compliance with both state and federal rules.
Today Cook works from a Morgan & Morgan office and represents clients in state and federal proceedings. He practices in Florida courts and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts, handling matters that arise in both arenas.
