About Jack Richard
Jack Richard Lebowitz has spent decades in and around courtrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University in 1967. He completed his legal education at Boston University, receiving a J.D. in 1973. Those academic years set the stage for a long career that has ranged from private counseling to courtroom advocacy.
Early in his legal career Lebowitz served in counsel roles at several firms. Records show he was associated with Lemery Greisler LLC beginning in 1999. He later moved to Green and Seifter Lawyers, where he held the title of counsel in 2008; that firm is now part of Bousquet, Holstein. These positions placed him in firms that handled a variety of civil matters and gave him experience in both firm-side practice and the advisory work lawyers provide to clients.
In 2011 he established Lebowitz Legal Services, PLLC and took the title Lawyer and Counselor at Law. Since then he has maintained a small, independent practice. He also holds membership in the Warren County Bar Association, a role he has listed since 2012. That local affiliation ties him to the community where much of his day-to-day practice takes place.
Lebowitz is admitted to practice before several significant courts. His jurisdictions include the State of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Those admissions enable him to handle filings and advocacy that extend beyond trial courts. They also reflect a career that has touched appellate work as well as trial-level matters.
Colleagues and public records describe him as an attorney who combines advisory work with litigation-related duties. He has moved between firm counsel positions and his own practice, trading the resources of larger offices for the autonomy of a solo practice. His career path is representative of lawyers who balance client counseling with courtroom responsibilities over many years.
Today he practices under the name Lebowitz Legal Services, PLLC. He operates his practice as Lawyer and Counselor at Law and maintains active membership in the local bar association. His current practice focuses on providing legal counsel through his firm.
