About Jack Reardon
Jack Reardon J.D. has spent more than two decades building a practice that centers on estate planning and elder law. He returned to formal study after years in practice and earned an LL.M. in Estate Planning and Elder Law from Western New England College in 2009. His legal training began with a J.D. from Suffolk University in 1995, following a B.A. in philosophy and history from Stonehill College in 1991.
His early career moved quickly through a variety of roles that exposed him to litigation, real estate and alternative dispute resolution. In 1998 he worked as a contract real estate attorney under his own name. The next year he served as an ADR legal analyst on the Duhaime v. John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance matter. By 2000 he had joined Mitchell & DeSimone as an associate trial lawyer, gaining courtroom and case-management experience.
In 2003 Reardon opened the Law Office of Jack Reardon, LLC. He managed a solo practice for several years and handled matters typical of small firm work, including estate planning and probate. In 2012 he became a shareholder at Cipparone & Zaccaro, P.C., a move that marked his return to a larger firm setting and expanded his role in client and firm management.
Reardon is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. He also maintains active ties to professional and specialty organizations. He has been a member of the Connecticut Bar Association since 2011 and participates in its Elder Law Section Legislative Review Committee and its Estates and Probate Section. He is involved with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has served as past president of its Connecticut chapter. He also serves on the board of the Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern Connecticut.
Colleagues describe Reardon as methodical and practical in approach. His work in elder law draws on his LL.M. studies and his hands-on experience with estate administration and probate matters. He handles drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies, and he advises clients on long-term care planning and related benefit programs. He also appears in probate and estate proceedings when matters require litigation or formal court adjudication.
Outside the office he has maintained an active presence in professional groups that shape elder law policy and practice in Connecticut. That involvement keeps him abreast of legislative changes and emerging issues affecting aging clients and their families. He currently practices at Cipparone & Zaccaro, P.C., and handles estate planning and elder law matters.
