About J. Michael
J. Michael Goldberg began his legal journey at Cleveland State University, earning his J.D. in 1990. He trained at a law school embedded in an urban courthouse environment, where classroom study met courtroom practice. That early exposure shaped a career that has spanned more than three decades.
After law school, Goldberg gained admission to practice in Ohio and expanded his practice into the federal courts. His admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials have allowed him to move cases through both trial and appellate pathways when necessary.
Goldberg’s professional life is threaded through a number of legal organizations. He holds active memberships in the Ohio State Bar, the American Association for Justice, the Ohio Association for Justice, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. He is also a member of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, among others, and he maintains life membership in the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Alumni Association.
