About Iskra
Iskra Panteva built her legal foundation in Chicago. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Loyola University Chicago in 2008 and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2013. Her academic record includes membership in Phi Betta Kappa.
She entered the legal field as a paralegal and law clerk at Goldberg Weisman Cairo in 2008. That early hands-on experience exposed her to litigation workflows and client intake procedures. After law school she worked as a contract lawyer at Lexolution, LLC in 2013, a role that furthered her practical experience on discrete matters and document drafting.
In 2014 Panteva moved into corporate immigration work as an attorney with Dacheng Law Offices. That position involved employer-side immigration issues and cross-border compliance questions. She later joined Johnson, Blumberg & Associates in 2016, expanding her litigation and transactional exposure across client types.
In 2018 she became a partner at Panteva Law Group LLC. Since then she has led the firm’s day-to-day legal work and supervised case handling. Her practice incorporates both client counseling and representation in administrative matters.
Panteva is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Seventh Circuit. She maintains several professional memberships that reflect a mix of practice interests and community service. Those include the Women s Bar Association of Illinois, CVLS, and the AILA National Pro Bono Liaisons. She also served as co-chair of the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Offices from 2017 to 2019.
Outside casework she has participated in pro bono efforts and bar activities that bring legal services to underserved communities. Her AILA affiliation and pro bono liaison role align with that pattern. Colleagues note her steady presence in local bar associations and volunteer efforts.
Clients and partners see her handle practical immigration and employer-related problems, often where paperwork, deadlines and agency rules intersect. She combines earlier litigation and contract experience with immigration practice to guide clients through administrative processes and employer compliance issues. She practices from Panteva Law Group LLC, maintaining both paid and pro bono matters.
Her current practice focuses on immigration and employment-related matters.
