About Isabel

Isabel Abrams earned her J.D. from New York Law School in 2009 after beginning law studies in 2006. Her legal education covered litigation skills and courtroom procedure during a time when she was already weighing a career in trial work. The law school years established the foundation for a practice that would move between public service and private litigation.

She began her career in 2009 as an Assistant State Lawyer at the Miami-Dade State Lawyer's Office. In that role she handled misdemeanor and felony dockets, managed client contacts, and appeared in pretrial and trial settings. The position exposed her to fast-paced courtroom calendars and gave her early experience in conducting hearings and negotiating resolutions on behalf of the state.

After several years in public service, Abrams transitioned to private practice. In 2013 she joined Vernis & Bowling as an associate lawyer. There she worked on civil matters, supported lead trial counsel, drafted motions, and prepared cases for jury trials. Her time at the firm added layered civil litigation experience to the criminal courtroom work she had done previously.

Over time Abrams built a practice oriented around trial advocacy. She developed a routine of preparing witnesses, crafting trial themes, and presenting evidence in contested hearings. Colleagues describe her as thorough in case preparation and steady in the courtroom. Clients saw her as direct and practical when discussing legal options and likely outcomes.

Her work sits at the intersection of courtroom procedure and client-facing advocacy. She has experience across different stages of litigation, from initial pleadings to trial strategy and post-trial motions. That breadth of experience informs how she evaluates cases and advises clients on risk and remedy.

Isabel Abrams founded Abrams Justice Trial Lawyers to concentrate on trial litigation and to provide hands-on representation. She manages the practice, oversees case intake, and continues to appear in court. The firm reflects a through-line in her career: a move from public sector prosecution to private trial advocacy. She currently practices at Abrams Justice Trial Lawyers, where she represents clients in trial matters.
