About Irene
Irene Vaisman earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2004. She is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York. That academic credential launched a career that has stayed anchored in immigration law and public-facing legal services.
After law school, Vaisman became active in professional associations. Since 2005 she has maintained membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, joining a professional community that connects attorneys who work on immigration matters. She also began participation in other professional groups that year, and later added community-focused involvement with Future Grads in 2013.
In 2009 she took on the role of principal at The Vaisman P.C. She leads the firm and oversees client work, case strategy and the day-to-day running of the office. The firm operates in New Jersey and New York, where Vaisman represents clients in a range of immigration-related matters. Her work combines courtroom and administrative advocacy with preparation of applications and legal counseling.
Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She breaks complex immigration rules down into practical steps for clients. That clarity matters for people dealing with visa petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization or removal proceedings. She represents individuals and families as they navigate federal immigration agencies and courts.
Alongside private practice, Vaisman has sustained ties to community and professional organizations. Her ongoing membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association connects her to developments in policy and practice. Her involvement with Future Grads, which began in 2013, reflects an interest in educational and community initiatives tied to immigrant communities.
Vaisman’s career shows continuity. She moved from legal education into association work and then into firm leadership. The pattern is steady: build a foundation, join professional networks, then apply that background in practice. Today she leads The Vaisman P.C., where she continues to provide immigration services to clients across New Jersey and New York.
She currently practices immigration law at The Vaisman P.C., serving clients in both New Jersey and New York.
