Ignacio Alberto Donoso is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1995. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Donoso is the founder and managing partner of Donoso & Associates, LLC, a law firm specializing in immigration law. The firm is located in Bethesda, Maryland, and offers services to clients in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and India.
Mr. Donoso earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) degrees from McGill University in Canada. He furthered his legal education by obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School in 1998.
Mr. Donoso's practice focuses on immigration law, with expertise in visas for investors, professionals, researchers, start-ups, and family immigration. His career spans over 20 years as a member of the State Bar of California, during which he has advised thousands of investors and Fortune 500 companies, their executives, employees, and families to achieve their U.S. immigration goals. He has been admitted to practice before various courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Mr. Donoso is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), having been a member since 2003. He has served on numerous AILA National Committees, including the Texas Service Center Liaison Committee, the National Annual Conference Planning Committee, and from 2013 to 2018, the National EB-5 Committee. He has been a frequent speaker at regional, national, and international conferences on U.S. immigration law and has been interviewed by national news media, including Fox Business and The New York Times, as well as local television and radio regarding immigration issues.
