About Hunter G.
Hunter G. Cavell earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2013. He attended law school beginning in 2010 and completed the program in three years. The law school experience included coursework and training that later informed his work at the trial table and in courtroom procedure.
After law school, Cavell built a practice around litigation and trial work. He serves as a trial lawyer at Cavell Law LLC. Over the years he has handled matters in both state and federal forums. That courtroom focus has shaped the way he prepares cases and advocates for clients.
Cavell is admitted to practice in Ohio and to several federal courts. His admissions include the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the Southern District of Ohio, and the corresponding bankruptcy courts. He also holds a mediation certificate from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and is a commissioned Notary Public in the State of Ohio. He maintains current memberships in professional organizations.
Colleagues and clients describe his approach as pragmatic and direct. He favors clear preparation over courtroom theatre. He emphasizes evidence and procedural control, aiming to give juries and judges the information they need to resolve disputes. In depositions and hearings he concentrates on concise questioning and tight narratives. That style reflects his trial work and his training in mediation, where clarity and structure are often decisive.
Cavell has kept his practice small and focused. He handles litigation matters that require hands-on courtroom experience and prefers to shepherd cases through trial rather than process them chiefly by motion. He splits time between pretrial strategy, discovery oversight and courtroom presentation. His office, Cavell Law, LLC, is the base for his litigation work and client consultations. He currently concentrates his practice on trial litigation and courtroom advocacy in state and federal courts.
