About Howard B.

Howard B. Prossnitz studied political science and economics as an undergraduate at Haverford College, graduating in 1973. He then went on to Stanford Law School, where he earned his J.D. in 1976 after three years of study. Those academic years set a steady rhythm that carried into a long legal career.

After law school he entered private practice and has spent decades working in both Illinois and Florida. He is admitted to the bars of those two states and has maintained a practice that crosses state lines when cases or clients require it. Over the years he has handled matters in state and federal forums and has kept a steady presence in the courtroom and at arbitration tables.

Prossnitz has been an active member of professional circles. Since 2004 he has belonged to the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association, an organization of attorneys who represent investors in securities disputes. He holds that membership currently. His participation in that and other professional groups reflects a continuing engagement with developments in investor law and related civil litigation.

His career has been based in private practice at the Law Offices of Howard Prossnitz. There he has taken on individual and institutional clients, navigated procedural challenges, and pursued remedies available under the law. He is known among peers for a methodical approach to case preparation and an emphasis on clear legal analysis. Clients seeking counsel have found a practitioner who prefers straightforward legal work and careful attention to procedural detail.

Prossnitz’s practice today remains in private practice and draws on more than four decades of legal work. He continues to handle matters that arise under both state and federal law and represents clients in disputes that require attention to technical legal questions as well as factual development. He currently practices at the Law Offices of Howard Prossnitz, where his work focuses on investor representation and civil litigation.
