About Hosea
Hosea Chang built a layered academic foundation before entering the legal profession. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in 2003, followed by a Master of Arts from Yonsei University’s Graduate School of International Studies in Seoul in 2005. He completed his legal training at American University Washington College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2008.
After law school, Chang brought his international studies background into practice. He is admitted to the New York bar and has served as an associate at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. At the firm he worked on client matters alongside seasoned practitioners, contributing to project teams and supporting transactional and advisory work.
Chang’s time in Seoul shaped how he approaches complex legal problems. Graduate study in international affairs encouraged attention to cross-border dynamics and comparative perspectives. That academic experience intersects with his legal education, producing a practice informed by both policy context and doctrinal detail.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in document review and precise in written work. He has balanced law firm responsibilities with the collaborative demands of team-based matters. That balance has required translating legal concepts for clients and coordinating among internal groups, tasks he has handled in the course of firm assignments.
He practices law in New York as an associate at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP.
