About Holland

Holland Locklear earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 2017. She completed the curriculum there and entered the legal profession the same year. Early on she established a base in Michigan, the jurisdiction where she is licensed to practice.

Her early career followed a steady path into private practice. She spent the years after law school building experience across matters governed by Michigan law. She also joined professional associations beginning in 2017 and has stayed connected to those organizations since. That participation provided opportunities to learn courtroom procedure, client counseling and the practical routines of day-to-day lawyering.

Locklear went on to form her own firm, The Law Offices of Holland Locklear, PLLC. Running a small firm required shifting between legal work and managing office operations. She learned to prioritize immediate client needs while preserving time for research, filings and court appearances. Colleagues and clients encountered an attorney who handles casework directly and oversees the administrative side of the practice.

Her practice approach is pragmatic. She works through legal problems methodically, drafting pleadings, preparing for hearings and meeting clients to explain options. She represents clients in matters that arise under Michigan statutes and court rules. The scope of work reflects the realities of practicing inside a single state: contested hearings, negotiated resolutions and paperwork required to advance a client’s position.

Outside of the courtroom, Locklear focuses on building a practice that is accessible to people who need legal help in Michigan. Establishing and running her own office meant taking on client intake, calendar management and the routine tasks that keep cases moving. She balances advocacy with the administrative demands of a small law office.

Colleagues describe her as someone who prefers clear, practical legal work over flourish. She keeps communications straightforward and aims to give clients a realistic sense of what lies ahead in their matters. Today she continues to lead The Law Offices of Holland Locklear, PLLC, handling cases that arise under Michigan law and serving clients from intake through resolution.

Her current practice focuses on serving clients in matters governed by Michigan law at The Law Offices of Holland Locklear, PLLC.
