About Herman L.

Herman L. Jimerson earned his law degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia School of Law in 1986. He was a member of the law school's Board of Advocates while there. Before law school he completed a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science at George Williams College in 1979.

His academic path combined a study of human behavior with formal training in advocacy. That mix shaped how he approached clients and cases from the start. He left law school prepared to put courtroom skills and client interviews to practical use.

Following graduation, Jimerson built a long career in the practice of law. Over the years he has worked on a range of matters and routinely handled both contested and noncontested work. He has represented individual clients and business entities, balancing negotiation and courtroom work when the case required it.

Colleagues and clients have noted his steady courtroom manner and his preference for careful preparation. He draws on the trial advocacy experience he gained at the University of Missouri and on practical lessons learned in practice. His undergraduate study in behavioral science informed how he approaches witness preparation and client counseling, often helping him frame legal issues in human terms.

Jimerson’s professional life has been marked by steady involvement in day-to-day legal practice rather than a focus on public profile or academic writing. He has adapted to changes in practice over the decades, incorporating new procedures and technologies into his work when they proved useful. He favors clear communication and precise legal analysis when advising clients, and he prepares thoroughly when matters proceed to hearing or trial.

Outside the office, Jimerson has kept connections to the legal community through professional contacts and practical mentoring of younger lawyers. He has applied his early training in behavioral science to working with clients under stress and to managing case strategy where witness testimony and negotiation dynamics matter.

As of 2026 he remains in active private practice, handling matters that draw on his litigation and counseling experience.
