About Henry D.
Henry D. Acciani graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1968 and earned his law degree from Northern Kentucky University College of Law in 1976. Those two institutions bookend the academic preparation that preceded a long career in the Cincinnati legal community. His education came at a time of change in the profession, and he entered practice as courts and trial procedures were evolving.
Within a few years of finishing law school, Acciani joined a firm that would become his professional home. In 1979 he became a partner at O Connor, Acciani & Levy Co. LPA. That role has defined much of his professional life. The partnership title signals sustained involvement in a firm setting, handling matters that require coordination among lawyers and engagement with the local bar.
Acciani has maintained steady involvement in professional organizations. He has been a member of the American Association Of Justice since 1981 and served on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association of Justice in 2010. Locally and statewide, he is listed as a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Hamilton County Trial Lawyers Association. He also belongs to the American Bar Association and several alumni organizations tied to his schools. His name appears among the Masters of the Potter Stewart American Inn of Court, an indication of sustained participation in programs aimed at legal professionalism and mentorship.
Beyond formal bar memberships, Acciani’s civic and community ties extend to St. Bartholomew Parish and alumni groups connected to the University of Cincinnati and Chase College of Law. These affiliations suggest a practice that mixes professional activity with community involvement. Across decades, his pattern has been the same: practice, bar work, teaching moments with younger lawyers through inn-of-court activities, and periodic leadership in state-level justice organizations.
After nearly half a century in practice, Acciani remains an active presence in Cincinnati’s legal circles. He continues as a partner at O Connor, Acciani & Levy Co. LPA and is active in trial practice and bar activities at the local and state level.
